Spidey

Yeah, so anyone who has a healthy appetite for good movies and stories will know about YouTube. Primarily because they can save you $24 multiple times. This is based on the fact that 99% of the animated movies, at least all the classics, that Disney makes can be found on YouTube. They are broken into several parts, but still have the whole movie there. Today I found out that the Spider-man trilogy is also available there. Now since nobody reads this it's a moot point, but still. Furthermore there are probably other movies on YouTube, I just didn't care about them so didn't look for them. The one who posted the first movie is the user IAmWay2Good4U.

Wrestling

Many people don't know anything about wrestling. Thus they decided to avoid tournaments and matches by pleading ignorance. These people can be considered pure idiots. If someone honestly thinks that they won't go due to lack of understanding fails to realize that they understood no sports when they were born. It is therefore logical and correct to conclude that everyone learns how a sport works by watching or asking about it. The most annoying things that people think about wrestling is the fact that it is gay. Gay as in homosexual that is. For a sport to be homosexual that means that it has to exist outside of the people playing it. To say wrestling is gay you are neither saying a wrestler is gay nor the act of wrestling is gay. What those people mean is that only gay guys wrestle. The only word I can think of to describe these people is IDIOTS. Even more so would be the fact that at least 80% of the wrestlers I personally know are in a heterosexual relationship. I am not one of the 80% and the reason I am single is due to an intense fear of people in general (ditto for girls). Wrestling is one of the toughest sports ever. If a wrestler decides to quit, he (or she in rare cases) is least likely to rejoin. By this I mean it is easier to get a new person to join wrestling than to get someone who quit to rejoin. To wrestle means that you are willing to suffer whatever pain and hardships come your way to pummel your opponent into submission. I could go on and on, my point is this: Wrestling is a sport that involves you to beat up someone else (legal fighting) and is the hardest thing you will ever do in relation to your physical body. It also saved my life.

In Sickness and in academics

It has been proven that what you hate makes you less healthy. Thus I have decided to like school and hate the institution. This allows me to hate the action of school but not hate the means it goes to acquire. If I consider the ends far better than the means then I have no problem with schooling. Yet today comes and I'm really sick. This could have nothing to do with school but there is also the alternative possibility. This week was particularly stressful because I have two tests in a row. Obviously this is unfortunate, the question is: did this lead to my sickness? If it did I have not decided that the ends justify the mean for these two tests, the best thing might be to reschedule but the act of rescheduling while being sick is by no way good. If I am at 50% or less I might have to do that, but at about 70% I feel that I can at least survive what the tests entail and hopefully salvage a decent grade.
In other news, since you already know I have AS and take things literally, riddle me this. "Come back if it gets worse." In all forms of English that means come back if it does not get better or stay the same. The only reason I know not to do this is because of an incident last year and the fact that I called my mom for clarification this time. The last incident involved me being put on an operation table, missing three weeks of school, and feeling more like crap than I do now. I had a cough and only when I could hardly move because of a pain in my side did I go back. The cough did not improve, neither did it get worse until the pain. For many people like me, we would do exactly what I did. After all worse doesn't equal the same. Medicine is supposed to fix the condition, the medicine isn't working if it doesn't make you better but if a doctor doesn't say come back if you don't get better, then you have no need to go back until his statement is ratified. Now I know that getting worse covers not getting better but staying the same as well.

Hunchback of Notre Dame

Of all the Disney movies "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" is on an entirely different level. It starts out following a somewhat typical song format. However during this song there is an attack, murder, and arrests. This in and of itself sets it as a darker story that typical Disney stories. Also this has no princesses or princes unlike other movies. The highest ranking hero in the movie would have to be Phoebes, the captain of the Guards. The "princess" or heroine in the movie is a gypsy, Esmeralda. Also this story brings Christianity into it with the song "Hellfire". The use of fear and hate in this film adds to it's unconventional nature of a Disney movie. Although the villain is disposed of the hero and heroine don't marry. Phoebes was at most a supporting hero while Quasimodo was the main hero. It would hold to the typical Disney format for Esmeralda to marry Quasimodo, however she marries Phoebes. I overall consider this choice as a plus since it seems much more realistic. While I wouldn't watch "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" if you are scared easily or have difficulties without light and happy stories it is one of the darker Disney movies. This makes it better by showing how dark the real world is but still giving the audience the happy ending they desire. Another staple of Disney that is present in the movie is the loose connection to another form of media it has. In this case it is based of a Victor Hugo novel which is far darker than the Disney movie and ends in tragedy. I would recommend this movie purely because it shows that Disney was not all fun and games with its animated success, and it was fully able to deal with unpleasantness giving a fresh view of the world to children.

Life at night Death in the ER (if you're lucky)

I like the college party just as much as the next person. Unlike the next person I usually remember it the next day. I don't drink beer, because I'm allergic to the barley. Since wine, vodka, and other alcoholic beverages might be fine for pre-gaming I wouldn't spring any money for them unless there was a rotation worked out. Overall I remain sober throughout my entire college life. I've actually never had alcohol to date. I do think that if I eventually join a fraternity I will drink as part of the initiation. While I don't know the "official" dryness of this campus I would guess that it is about 85-98% wet. Most drinking goes on during the evening. Most people drink on Friday and Saturday nights. If you are lucky enough not to have a class or not to have a class until 6th hour (2:40-3:50) then you will also probably drink. Other than that you probably wont drink. In the case of parties it is fashionable to arrive 1hr late and most people are already drunk by that time.
You should not drink overly much when going to a party. Many people can have fun at a college party by being sober. It is one of the few places where you can be crazy and sober at the same time. If you feel pressured to have a beverage fill a water bottle with a non alcoholic drink and drink when you are thirsty, but otherwise go crazy while sober, it's fun, you should try it.

Butchery

So I just finished watching Hercules. The Disney one which is far less accurate than the non animated one (although that has inaccuracies too). I find it hard to believe that in the course of 93 minutes Disney was able to butcher almost every Greek myth.
1) Narcissus was never a god or demigod. He was turned to a flower after he wasted away besotted with his reflection.
2)Pain and Panic Hades's two servants were far more likely to be working for Ares.
3)Every god does grow in years, but they choose how they look because they're immortal and not human. So I doubt Zeus would look old or Hera look young, at least unless they wanted to.
4)Hercules was never a god. He was the son of Zeus and a mortal woman so he was a demigod. Therefore a hero doesn't become a god like Perseus, Achilles, Theseus, etc. They were all heroes and never became gods. Zeus gave Hercules godlike status when he would die eventually.
5)Hercules was Roman and Hercales was Greek, despite the fact that they were the same in all but name.
6)Hades nor any god is evil. Hades is lord of the underworld and you can't make deals with him. Orpehus proved that. Although he was a bimbo so that's not the best example but he came the closest to making a deal with him.
7)The Titans were the fathers of the gods and goddesses (maybe not Aphrodite) so they looked more like the gods. Yes, Zeus did beat them and trap them but there were 12 first ones and children who didn't become gods (mythology is unclear on how god comes from titan and titan does too).
8)Hera hated Hercules. All the trials he actually had to do was orchestrated by Hera. She hated him like she hated all of Zeus's children that wern't from her.
9)The Cyclopes worked for the gods against the titans. Zeus's thunderbolts, Hades's cap of darkness, and Poseidon's trident was formed by them. Now the Cyclopes (there were three) work for Hephaestus in his forges (volcanoes).
10)Most of the monsters Hercules destroyed were actually destroyed by other heroes. He did actually destroy the Hydra, first monster he fought, although not the way the movie showed it.
11)Phil was never a trainer of heroes, Chrion was and he was a centaur.
12)Charon should have been rowing the boat not a skeleton and Hades wouldn't need a boat to get to the underworld he's a god.
13)The river Styx is a river of human wishes not a river of dead people. They live in the underworld and can't do shit to Hades nor do all of them hate him. Some do but they were punished by all the gods not Hades alone.
14) The Fates aren't affiliated with Hades, I mean they weave the fabric of life and cut peoples life string but they don't work for Hades. Their only similarity with Hades is the death aspect.
15)The Grey Sisters have one eye (and one tooth) and they can see the past future and present, they're the fortune tellers. They don't work for anyone either.
16)This is common and very hard to find, Achilles's weak point was not his heel. The tendon that runs down the back of your foot is called the Achilles tendon and that was his weak point. He died because a poisoned barbed arrow hit that spot on his body, no other reason.
17)Although Chrion was the trainer of heroes, most heroes were not trained by him most learned tips from their father (usually a god).
18)No hero was hung up as a constellation. Orion was the only "hero" that became a constellation and he was a giant son of Poseidon and a friend of Artemis.
19)More to come
Just remember read the myths if you want to know the truth, that's the real story of Hercules, who never existed.
